Natural light shot from the third morning of Mythlore, catching one of the more photogenic members of crew just after kitting up. Couple of quick poses on a pile of logs; nothing fancy. Light was pretty much to die for, being diffused through light foliage, on a cloudy day.
What’s interesting here (from a technical point of view) is the postprocessing - nothing too ground-breaking as far as the world at large goes, perhaps, but new to me.
The highlights are brought down, so while I’ve gone for a lot of punch and contrast in general, I’ve tried to take the edge off specular highlights on skin. I’ve used less contrast in the midtones than I’m used to, again for the sake of skin tone.
The skin is then softened (lowered clarity and sharpness, unlike the rest of the image) with a few blemishes cloned out (4, small ones - argue ethics if you like, but it seemed reasonable to me). Eyes are sharpened and dodged - but not to the levels some people like. Saturation on the armour is increased and on the skin is lowered, for colour balance. Hair on the left of the head is dodged, to bring out some detail.
No cropping (did it in-camera), moderate vignette. Catchlight is natural. Armour by Battle Ready.
Really pleased with this one.
